A krumkake is a thin, crisp conde shaped cookie of Scandinavian origin. Krumkake literlly means "crumble cookie" and the delicate texture of these cookies makes them uncommonly delicious.

Nordic Ware's Krumkake iron consists of two heavy cast plates which are hinged together with two handles for turning. The plates sit in a burner base which sits on your stove (use on electric or gas stove). The plates emboss a design on the cookie as it bakes. The cookie is then rolled into the shape of a scroll or cone while it is still warm and flexible.

Krumkakes are delightful plain, with a bit of sugar or filled with whipped cream.
